We made it!! Winter is finally over and we can once more think about grass and trail riding and finding new homes for our rescued horses. In some ways, we had it easy- not much snow but lots of rain and mud. But we were busy and managed to place 15 horses in their new forever homes. We had some hard times too- Clara passed away from a suspected aneurism before she ever got a chance to really shine. The sadness is part of rescue but we never quite get used to it. Our hearts are broken for her and her foster mom but we hope to share a new effort on her behalf when we work out the plans. We are also hoping to participate in this year’s Rescue to Stardom Challenge so keep your eyes open for that unbroken (preferably palomino or buckskin) horse. Happy Riding and Rescuing to All.
